Equality and Diversity Policy
The Equality and Diversity Policy is a statement describing the way in which equality, equal opportunities, equal treatment and diversity issues are dealt with by IN.
IN’s vision, mission and work impacts upon people across communities and organisations worldwide. In order to ensure IN’s commitment to equality and diversity in its activities, projects and programmes whether internal or external, the Board of Trustees will act with integrity and accountability thus promoting and safeguarding IN’s reputation.
Child Protection Policy
IN believes that all children and young people involved in sport have the right to safety and protection from abuse and exploitation. Everyone involved in IN funded programmes is responsible for upholding the rights and protection of children.
The UN Convention on the Rights of the Children (1989) sets out to secure children’s rights through 42 amendments, of which we want to highlight the following;
- best interest of the child
- freedom of expression
- freedom of information
- the right to play and recreational activities
The UN Convention states that all children have the right to be protected from all forms of physical or mental violence, injury or abuse, neglect, maltreatment or exploitation, including sexual abuse.
IN believes that all children have the right to protection from abuse regardless of their race, ethnic origin, gender, disability, religious belief system, sexual orientation, age, nationality, class or social background.
